మనం ఇంగ్లీషు భాష లో ఈ క్రింది లాంటివి చూసే ఉంటాం.

I'm, we're, you're, he's, she's, it's, they're మున్నగునవి.

వీటిని ఇంగ్లీష్ లో contractions అంటారు.

Contractions అంటే ఏమిటి?
Contractions ఇంగ్లీష్ భాషలో వాడుతారు ఎందుకంటే వీటితో మాట్లాడం సులువుగా ఉంటుంది మరియు భాష efficient మారుతుంది. అదే కాకుండా వీటిని వాడితే భాష వినడానికి natural గా ఉంటుంది కూడా. కాబట్టి వీటిని ప్రతిఒక్కరూ  తప్పకుండా నేర్చుకోవాలి.

Contractions ఎలా ఏర్పడతాయి?
రెండు ఇంగ్లీష్ మాటలు కలిసి రెండవ మాట యొక్క అక్షరాలు మాయమవుతాయి. అవి మాయమయ్యాయి అనేదానికి గుర్తుగా apostrophe గుర్తును (') ను వాడుతాము.

Examples:
I + am = I'm
We + are = We're
They + are = They're

Contractions ని మనం ఇంగ్లీషు రాసేప్పుడు ఉపయోగించవచ్చునా?

ఇంగ్లీష్ భాషలో రాతను మనం రెండు విధాలుగా విభజించవచ్చును: formal and informal.

Informal writing లో contractions వాడవచ్చును. Informal writing బ్లాగులు, చాటింగ్, మెసేజింగ్ మరియు స్నేహితులకు e-mail రాసేప్పుడు వాడవచ్చును. భాష మాట్లాడేవారు contractions వాడవచ్చును. అలా మాట్లాడకపోతే భాష pedantic అనిపిస్తుంది.

Formal writing లో contractions వాడ రాదు. Academic papers, business letters, legal papers, research papers, job applications మరియు proposals writing formal writing కింద వస్తుంది.

Examples:
1.
Formal: I am writing a letter.
Informal: I'm writing a letter.

2.
Formal: We are doctors.
Informal: We're doctors.

3.
Formal: They are engineers.
Informal: They're engineers.

మీరు కూడా ఈ విధంగా కొన్ని be verb తో కూడిన వాక్యాలను formal మరియు informal గా comments లాగా రాయడానికి ప్రయత్నించండి.
